Ogłaszamy nabór do drużyny na konkurs mediacyjny
6th IBA-VIAC Consensual Dispute Resolution Competition Vienna,
który odbędzie się:
w Wiedniu, w dniach 11 – 15 lipca 2020 roku
Konkurs jest organizowany przez Vienna International Arbitration Centre International oraz International Bar Association. Przebiega wyłącznie w języku angielskim. Jest to okazja do poznania praktyków mediacji oraz drużyn z całego świata, a także sprawdzenia swoich umiejętności w międzynarodowym konkursie mediacyjno negocjacyjnym.

Jeśli czujesz się na siłach oraz nie masz problemu z językiem angielskim, zapraszam do aplikowania! Równocześnie w II semestrze uruchomione są warsztaty przygotowujące do konkursu.
Zgłoszenia zawierające trzy elementy: (1) CV, (2) list motywacyjny oraz (3) pomysł na mini scenariusz 2-3 minutowego filmu przedstawiającego drużynę UJ (opis nie dłuższy niż pół strony) – należy przesyłać do dnia 15 stycznia 2020 roku na adres: mediation.uj@gmail.com
Spotkanie organizacyjne odbędzie się dnia 16 stycznia 2020 roku o godz. 10.30 sala 304. Szczegóły zostaną podane w mailach wysłanych do osób, które złożą aplikację.

A course on „EU PROCEDURAL LAW“ (in English)
(winter semester 2019/2020 – lecturers: dr. Alicja Sikora and dr. Saulius Kalėda)
We are delighted to inform you that, during the winter semester 2019/2020, the Chair of European Law will propose a course on „EU Procedural Law”, taught jointly by dr. Sikora and dr. Kalėda, visiting lecturers, who are practicing EU law, respectively, as a Legal Adviser of the Council of the EU and as a Member of the Legal Service of the European Commission.
The course is addressed to students willing to develop a thorough understanding of legal issues related to the proceedings before the EU judiciary. We will aim at giving you comprehensive knowledge of direct remedies available at the EU courts in Luxemburg (both the General Court and the Court of Justice), as well as making you acquainted with legal intricacies of the mechanism of preliminary references from the national courts, including the urgent preliminary ruling procedure. This knowledge should allow you to engage in academic discussion on variety of modern topics related to the EU judicial architecture. Besides the theoretical background, the course will address practical issues of bringing and pleading your case before the EU courts and will focus on recent developments in the case-law of the EU judiciary.
The classes will start November 15, 13h00-18h00 (at room no 302, ul. Olszewskiego 2) and will be subsequently scheduled as follows:
November 29, 13h00-18h00;
December 13, 13h00-18h00;
January 10, 13h00-18h00 and
January 24, 13h00-18h00.
