W dniach 16-17 listopada 2018 roku odbywała się w Pekinie doroczna konferencja dotycząca Rule of Law (The CASS Forum: International Symposium on Rule of Law), organizowana przez Instytut Prawa Chińskiej Akademii Nauk Społecznych. W tym roku prace skupiały się wokół zagadnień, wywoławczo nazwanych: Institutional Reform and the Rule of Law.
Z referatami zostali na nią zaproszenie przedstawiciele 11 krajów. Dr Piotr Grzebyk z Wydziału Prawa i Administracji Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego (dyrektor Polskiego Centrum Studiów nad Prawem i Gospodarką Chin) przedstawił wystąpienie pt. Protection of Non-Standard Workers and the Rule of Law, zaś ks. prof. Franciszek Longchamps de Bérier z z Wydziału Prawa i Administracji Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego pt. Institutional Reforms and Resilience of Law: the Experience of Private Law. Konferencji przysłuchiwali się między innymi studenci WPiA UJ odbywający w Pekinie na China University of Political Science and Law kurs prawa chińskiego nauczanego po angielsku (Chinese Law Taught in English – CLTE) w ramach China-EU School of Law.
